Baptism

If you would like to have your baby baptised, it is a Parish requirement that you first complete a preparation course. Please ensure that you are also registered with the Parish.

Please note: if you intend to have your baby baptised outside of the parish, then you must first seek Canon Chris' permission and obtain a letter of permission from Canon Chris for the priest who will be conducting the baptism. Equally, if you live outside the Parish and wish to have your baby baptised in Andover, you will need a letter of permission from your Parish Priest at home.

Baptism Course Evening

The next pre-Baptism evening course will be on Wednesday 8th October from 7.00pm to approximately 9.00pm in the Parish Hall. Completion of the session is required before booking a baptism. To register for the course, please email / telephone the Parish Office. Both parents are requested to attend - but not children - and you must be registered with the Parish.

Confirmation

Confirmations are held every other year in the Parish, alternating between being held in the Parish Church here in Andover and in St John’s Cathedral in Portsmouth. Our next course will begin in the autumn of 2026 for Confirmations in 2027.

If you are 16 or over and would like to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation you will need to write a letter to Canon Chris giving your personal reasons why you would like to be confirmed. You will also need to complete a Confirmation Application Form which will be issued nearer the time. Please ensure that your family has completed a Parish Registration form.
